Notable changes
With Privowny App’s default settings and depending on the usage of the product, users may need to enter their Master Key every few minutes. That’s why, when unlocking the Main Window, there is now an option to allow the browser to remember the Master Key until the next locked screen. Users can configure their Security preferences in the Settings of the product and choose when the Main Window is locked, closing the ongoing session and erasing the Master Key from memory. More about how this works.
Notable bug fixes
When the internet connection was lost, Privowny App’s browser extension was not automatically reconnecting and an error message was appearing instead. Now, the extension detects the loss of connection and reconnects automatically when the connection is restored.
Known issue
expedia.com has a bug that blocks the creation of an account with an alias email address on some devices. This is not linked to the validity of the alias though, and you can use the same alias to create an account from a different device.
Notable changes
Privowny App is working hard on improving the accessibility of all its features (colors, buttons, navigation, TalkBack help, etc. are all being checked). A few more versions will be needed to call the app accessible to the standard that we wish to achieve, but improvements can already be seen in v1.22 and we are committed to becoming even better.
Close captions (only in English for now) have been added to all our videos.
Notable bug fixes
In some cases the Smartfield Icon was finding its way in apps where it didn’t belong and was not adding value (like SMS or calendar). It has been removed from these apps.
Known issues
The Tracker Filter doesn’t work with the Chrome browser. This is a limitation orchestrated by Chrome for which we currently have no workaround.

Notable changes
The Privowny Autofill feature is very user-friendly to log into accounts but it has limitations (due to the OS) which make it difficult to use to register new accounts. A workaround has been found to help users create new accounts in the app and autofill the app/website forms. It implies copying the password to the clipboard and pasting it, which is explained in the new flow. Try it out next time you need to register a new account! Tap on the key on top of the keyboard and follow the instructions.

Notable bug fixes
After editing a piece of data in the Data Manager, the data shown was still the previous unedited one, even though it had been changed. This was confusing for the users. It has been fixed to display the actual, updated data right away.
Known issues
The Privowny Autofill feature has some limitations for retrieving credentials. This is fixed with the use of iOS 13.
