Notable changes
User data has been migrated to a new infrastructure. All previous versions of Privowny App are now obsolete and users need to update to Privowny App 1.15. Once users update, they will have access to all their data as usual.
The website for Privowny App has changed from beta.priowny.com to privowny.app. All URLs in the Browser Extension have been updated accordingly.
The graph “My Digital Footprint” has temporarily been removed from the Dashboard. An improved version will return shortly.
The possibility to generate alias email addresses from the Smartfield Icon in fields outside of login and registration forms has been added.
When changing their preferences in the Settings Security sub-menu, users are now able to change multiple settings while being asked for their Master Key only once.
The number of items selected is now indicated in the header of each Manager for improved readability.
The edit account button has been removed when users select several accounts in the Password Manager as batch editing is not available and its presence led to confusion.

Our Browser Extension stops working when on the “Password Required” window on https://www.pandora.com/settings/info. We are investigating a solution.
expedia.com has a bug that blocks the creation of an account with an alias email address on some devices. This is not linked to the validity of the alias though, and you can use the same alias to create an account from a different device.

Users can now once again register directly from the mobile app, with the newly redefined registration process:
Privowny App is now using a new password scoring algorithm, called zxcvbn, to help users create a strong password for their Privowny App account and a strong Master Key. Learn more about zxcvbn
Users are also warned if the password or Master Key they choose is compromised (has been hacked in the past according to the website haveIbeenpwned.com) so they can choose another one. Learn more about haveIbeenpwned.com
Privowny’s privacy pledge is now unveiled in a more transparent manner before users are asked to agree to the Terms and Conditions.
Colored screens have been added back at the end of the registration process to quickly introduce each Manager and their look before introducing the Smartfield Icon.

The Tracker Filter doesn’t work with the Chrome browser. This is a limitation orchestrated by Chrome for which we currently have no workaround.

It is now possible for users to import their passwords from Chrome to Privowny App, directly from their iOS device. The steps to follow have been added in the “Getting started” section.

Known issues
Changing a Master Key is still an issue when users do it from another device. It works properly, but the user needs to manually log out and then log back in for it to be effective.
The Privowny Autofill feature has some limitations for retrieving credentials. This is fixed with the use of iOS 13.
