NEW FEATURE: Reply to emails sent to your aliases anonymously!
Generating alias email addresses allows users to provide addresses they have complete power over to senders that they feel could be ill-intentioned or intrusive. But some communication from these senders may actually be important to them and they may even need at some point to reply to them and start a conversation. Starting with v1.34 this is now possible and any reply to an email sent to one of the users’ aliases will show the alias as the sender in the recipient’s email header and will not mention the user’s private email address at all. Notable changes
Users can set a time to lock their Main Window in order to make sure the data in their Managers is not in plain sight should they leave their station. This has been developed in earlier versions but the countdown for the timer was not visible enough and the Main Window was often locking unexpectedly so the countdown timer has moved to the center of the Main Window and the background fades out progressively to catch the user’s attention.
The Dashboard was previously available by clicking on Privowny App’s logo. It now has its dedicated icon:
The icons to generate aliases and passwords were simplified in the Managers (a simple “+” sign replaces the @ and key icons at the end of the fields).
Notable bug fix
A major effort has been made to improve the way Privowny App saves credentials after they are entered in fields on online forms. Issues with unsaved credentials that were discovered on websites such as datazapp.com have been resolved.
Known issue
expedia.com has a bug that blocks the creation of an account with an alias email address on some devices. This is not linked to the validity of the alias though, and you can use the same alias to create an account from a different device.
Notable changes
Only one VPN can be active at a time, so, when Privowny App detects that another VPN is already installed, users are notified that they need to uninstall it, in order to use Privowny App’s Tracker Manager. Additionally, should a VPN be installed after Privowny App’s, users are notified that Privowny App’s VPN is then disabled and should be turned on again for the Tracker Manager to start working again.

Notable changes
Say hello to the Tracker Manager on iOS! Privowny App’s Browser Extension and Android app both already include a Tracker Manager. It is now also available for iOS. The technical limitations are different depending on the devices and operating systems, so, on Apple devices, the Tracker Manager is only able to block advertising trackers and only while browsing on Safari. The option is available from the Settings of the app: one toggle to switch and the user’s browsing experience is significantly enhanced.
