Notable changes
All the tutorial videos now display their duration on their placeholders. There are no extra clicks needed to figure out their length. We try to keep our videos very short (around one minute for most of them) and to the point. The video gallery is accessible from the “Getting started” section (rocket icon), go check it out!
The Smartfield Icon’s drop-down menu has been improved. It now includes an additional option called “Other actions” that lists all the actions users may need, but cannot readily find in the contextual menu.
Notable bug fixes
The tooltips encouraging users to use the “+” icon in the Data Manager and Password Manager would sometimes appear in other Managers as well or in the wrong Manager. They are now only displayed when appropriate.
The tutorial videos were not playing correctly on Firefox. They now work as expected.
Blocking trackers on the CES (Consumer Electronics Show) login page was interfering with the page functionality. The advertising tracker responsible for this is now whitelisted for this page to allow users to log in properly.
The yellow icon used to generate a password in the “Add account” screen in the Password Manager was sometimes failing. It has been fixed.
The tooltip in the Toolbar explaining the number of trackers allowed was inaccurate and would refer to the number of trackers blocked instead.
The colors in the “Trackers Control” graph in the Dashboard were sometimes inconsistent with the legend.
The “Retrieve Credentials” option that should appear in the Smartfield Icon’s drop-down menu was missing for the following sites: etsy.com, foxsports.com, anthropologie.com, expedia.com
Known issues we are working on
Our Browser Extension stops working when on the “Password Required” window on https://www.pandora.com/settings/info. We are investigating a solution.
expedia.com has a bug that blocks the creation of an account with an alias email address on some devices. This is not linked to the validity of the alias though, and you can use the same alias to create an account from a different device.
Notable changes
The quality of the animation that presents the Smartfield Icon has been improved for performance and look.
A 2-minute tutorial video that explains how Privowny App for iOS works has been added to the video gallery in the “Getting started” section of the app.
The Tracker Manager is now easier to access from the Notification center.
Notable bug fixes
Updating or disabling the fingerprint feature in the settings of the phone was making the app crash. It has been resolved.
Some text was overlapping in the Alias Manager. It has been fixed.
Known issues
The Tracker Filter doesn’t work with the Chrome browser. This is a limitation orchestrated by Chrome for which we currently have no workaround.

Notable changes
The setup of the application has been altered to include a 2-minute presentation video that explains when to use the Safari Extension and when to use Privowny Autofill to create and retrieve account credentials (for users on versions prior to iOS 12, a shorter video is shown to present only the Safari Extension). This video is also accessible from the Dashboard and is included in the video gallery in the “Getting started” section of the app.
Some language has been improved in the tooltips used to guide users when they want to add an account to their Password Manager.
Notable bug fixes
The detail screens for deleted accounts would sometimes linger even though the accounts did not exist anymore.
Attempting to add images to the Photos’ folder from the Help center found in the app (accessible from the question marks in the Managers’ headers) would make the app crash.
The app’s navigation bar (the black bar at the bottom with the Managers’ icons) was still visible even from the My Account web view (content that appears when the users click on their name). It has been removed.
The icons were overlapping in the Dashboard’s header when the user’s name was too long.
The Terms and Conditions page (accessible from the “About us” section in the settings) had some display issues and looked inconsistent with the rest of the legal content.
Some button animations and other small user interface issues have been resolved as well.
Known issues
Changing a Master Key is still an issue when users do it from another device. It works properly, but the user needs to manually log out and then log back in for it to be effective.
The Privowny Autofill feature has some limitations for retrieving credentials. This is fixed with the use of iOS 13.
