beta version (noun) COMPUTING – A version of a piece of software that is made available for testing, typically by a limited number of users outside the company that is developing it, before its general release.
What does it mean to be in beta stage?
Privowny App is in beta stage, which means that even though our product is ready for market, we know that usability can always be improved. We developed state-of-the-art technology to secure people’s online data and empower them, but need IRL (in real life) help to develop new features, and users’ feedback is priceless. Together, we will take online privacy to the next level.
Why a beta community…
Privowny App is looking for its tribe and beyond. We are looking for a community of like-minded people working in the same direction so that we can design a product that will convince all the others.
Our beta testers will help shape Privowny App and improve its usability. Thanks to them, more features will be developed that answer real needs.
We need them to keep us in check AND push us to be as brave as we need to be to achieve our common goal (see Our Digital Sovereignty Pledge). A lot of people out there may think that online privacy is a lost cause and that they have lost forever the ownership of their data. We beg to differ, and we’ll put all our energy to convince people otherwise.
Your data is what makes you, you. It tells your story, who you are, what you do, how you grow, so it really shouldn’t belong to anybody but you.
…. and when is the production release planned?
Privowny App is meant to stay as a beta version for people to play with for free and give us feedback. Our production versions will be commercialized by businesses that will find value in our product for their customers and we will customize it to fit their needs.
