The Data Manager automatically captures the trail of personal data you leave behind on websites.
It offers you some visibility over your digital footprint. It also allows you to track who you’ve left specific information with or what information a specific website has compiled about you over time.
With the Data Manager you will:
Gain awareness of how much you share online, and how that data can be used to profile you
Be able to search for the companies/websites you need to contact to update information you’ve given them (for example, when you move you can find who has a record of your previous address and decide if it’s relevant to update it)
Be able to proactively protect your data when a company reports a data breach by identifying just what personal data has been put at risk (address, social security number, credit card numbers, etc.).
You can also use the Data Manager to store information manually and encrypt it for safekeeping. For example, you can store and encrypt sensitive data such as your family’s government ID numbers, credit card details, insurance cards, membership cards, etc. that you have in your wallet. That way, if you ever lose your wallet, you will be able to access that data from your Data Manager.
