The Dashboard is symbolized by an icon with four stacked rectangles

Being able to finish the setup from here as well as from the Settings serves as a reminder that the app is not fully operational yet, which is necessary to take advantage of all the apps’ functionalities.
A card allowing you to quickly access the “Getting started” section of the app is also displayed on the Dashboard and will remain there until you tap on the cross. Don’t forget that you can always access this section of the app by tapping on the rocket icon (top right corner of the header). this section includes interactive tutorials and all our “how to” videos.
The Dashboard gathers information about your digital footprint and shows you a recap of your online behavior and how it impacts your privacy and the personal data you leave behind.
The data and Digital Footprint portions of the Dashboard use the data collected by the Privowny App Browser Extension (on your Chrome or Firefox desktop browser). If you choose NOT to let us collect the data you leave behind at the same time websites do or don’t use the Privowny App Browser Extension on your computer, then these graphs will be empty.
You can decide to grant that permission for all the websites you visit by switching the "Data Collection" toggle in the Data Manager's header in the Privowny App browser extension. You can also do this directly from the Main Menu or the Toolbar for the site you are currently on.
This graph shows a quick view of the passwords that are stored in your Password Manager and sorts them in order to let you see at a glance how strong they are. If you notice a weak one, we advise that you go to the website you left it with and follow their “forgot password” procedure. You will then be able to use theSmartfield Icon or Privowny Autofill depending of your app configuration/version to generate a strong new one for you. You won't have to remember it as it will be stored securely in your Password Manager and will be retrieved thanks to your Master Key whenever you need it.
Your Master Key is a sequence of characters that you created and that you and only you know. It is used to decrypt the sensitive data stored in your Managers. You are its only guardian, we truly have no access to it (and therefore can’t misuse it or put it at risk), so make sure to keep it safe and not lose it or your encrypted data would stay in gibberish form forever. The good news is this is the only password you now need to remember!
You can adapt your preferences regarding the Master Key from the security section of your Settings. Learn more
Aliases generated by Privowny App are listed in the Alias Manager which keeps track of how many emails they receive and who sends them. This graph will let you know which of the aliases you created are generating the most traffic to your inbox. The ones at the top of the list are not necessarily the worst offenders since you may have created them for the very purpose to receive daily briefings for example; but you will soon notice some usual traffic for aliases that were not created to this kind of purpose. Go have a look at the Alias Manager and you'll be able to investigate. The alias may have been sold or shared to a serial marketer website, or leaked, or hacked… In any case you will have the opportunity to block it (or just the offending senders) from there with just the switch of a toggle.
From the first day you use Privowny App, and only if you wish us to do so, we will keep track of the data you share online, aggregate the numbers, and present them in a graph on your Dashboard.
It can be interesting to see the kind of data you left behind. We decided to cherry-pick the most sensitive ones (email addresses, phone numbers, passwords, and credit card numbers) and let you know with one look how many of them are out there. These are the pieces of sensitive data you entrusted companies with (you chose to share these at some point).
One of the ways the internet profiles you is by aggregating information about your browsing activities: sites you visit, searches you perform, etc. The Dashboard does the same thing but for your benefit. You can now have an insider’s look at the way you are portrayed online. It might take a couple of days before you start seeing keywords gathering. Keep on browsing and come back later!
